2025 Pokémon Card Values & Price Guide
2025 closed the Scarlet & Violet era and opened Mega Evolution. It is also one of the busiest years in TCG Value Scanner, and the two cards scanned most are not pack cards at all, but promos — a Japanese McDonald's Pikachu and the Eevee from the Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box.
What this guide includes
This guide currently covers 959 indexed card records across 21 sets and the 2025 release year. The displayed estimate range is $0.02–$12,500. It reflects records available in TCG Value Scanner, not a complete manufacturer checklist.

The last Scarlet & Violet sets
- Prismatic Evolutions (January 17), a special set built around Eevee and its evolutions. Umbreon ex 161/131, a Special Illustration Rare, holds the highest 2025 value in this guide.
- Journey Together (March 28) brought back Trainer's Pokémon — cards such as N's Zoroark ex and Lillie's Clefairy ex, a modern return of the Gym Leaders' Pokémon of 2000.
- Destined Rivals (May 30), the final main Scarlet & Violet expansion and the 2025 set scanned most in the app. Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex 231/182 and Cynthia's Garchomp ex 232/182 are among its most valuable cards here.
- Black Bolt and White Flare (July 18), a split expansion: two separate sets released together, covering all 156 Pokémon first found in Unova. A card belongs to one of them, so check the set name — Black Bolt or White Flare — before comparing values.
Mega Evolution begins
Mega Evolution (September 26, 2025; 188 cards) started a new series. Its Mega Evolution Pokémon ex give up three Prize cards when knocked out, one more than an ordinary Pokémon ex, and they carry "Mega" in the name. Phantasmal Flames followed on November 14, 2025, led by Mega Charizard X ex. Its Special Illustration Rare, 125/094, is the third most scanned 2025 card and among the most valuable.
A Mega Evolution ex and the ordinary card of the same Pokémon are different printings, and so are the plain and Special Illustration Rare versions of the same Mega. As in earlier Scarlet & Violet sets, a number above the printed total marks the rare art cards.
The two promos at the top
- Pikachu 020/M-P. In August 2025, McDonald's restaurants in Japan gave Pokémon cards with Happy Sets, and on August 9–11 an extra pack included this Pikachu, the only card in the promotion with new artwork. "M-P" marks a Mega Evolution-era Japanese promo.
- Eevee SVP 173. A Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promo that came in the Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box rather than in booster packs, which is why it has a promo number instead of a set number.
Scarlet & Violet's earlier years are covered in 2023 and 2024; Mega Evolution continued into 2026.
