2015 Pokémon Card Values & Price Guide
2015 was the busiest year of the XY era: four main sets, the Double Crisis mini set and three new mechanics — Ancient Traits, Primal Reversion and, at the very end of the year, BREAK Evolution.
What this guide includes
This guide currently covers 223 indexed card records across 14 sets and the 2015 release year. The displayed estimate range is $0.02–$20,000. It reflects records available in TCG Value Scanner, not a complete manufacturer checklist.

What arrived when
- Primal Clash (February 4, 2015) introduced Ancient Traits, passive effects that work whenever the Pokémon is in play, and the Primal Reversions of Kyogre and Groudon.
- Double Crisis (March 25, 2015), a small set built around Team Magma and Team Aqua. Its Team Magma's Groudon (#15) is one of the most valuable 2015 cards in our index.
- Roaring Skies (May 2015).
- Ancient Origins (August 2015).
- BREAKthrough (November 4, 2015) introduced BREAK Evolution.
BREAK Evolution
A Pokémon BREAK is played on top of the Pokémon of the same name. It raises that Pokémon's HP and adds a new attack or Ability, and the Pokémon keeps the attacks it already had. BREAK cards are printed sideways, in landscape orientation, which sets them apart at a glance from the standard version of that Pokémon; each is a separate printing with its own value.
Primal Pokémon and Team Magma
Primal Kyogre-EX and Primal Groudon-EX evolve from the Kyogre-EX and Groudon-EX of the same set. Double Crisis adds a further layer: its Pokémon belong to Team Magma or Team Aqua, so Team Magma's Groudon is a different card from any plain Groudon. When you look up one of these cards, read the whole name, team prefix included.
Japanese cards from 2015
Several Japanese releases sit near the top of our 2015 values: Emerald Break's Rayquaza-EX (#85), XY promos such as Hoopa and M Mewtwo-EX, and Rage of the Broken Heavens' Mega Gyarados-EX. Japanese sets were split and named differently from the English ones, so compare a Japanese card only with Japanese copies.
The 2015 cards scanned most in TCG Value Scanner are Roaring Skies' Deoxys (#33), Primal Clash's Hippopotas (#87) and Roaring Skies' Exeggcute (#1). Mega Evolution itself arrived the year before, in 2014; BREAK carried on into 2016.
