2021 Pokémon Card Values & Price Guide
Pokémon turned 25 in 2021, and the anniversary cards dominate what people scan from that year. A single Japanese card, Pikachu #1 from the 25th Anniversary Collection, accounts for one in seven 2021 scans in TCG Value Scanner; Celebrations' reprints of Base Set Charizard and Blastoise come next.
What this guide includes
This guide currently covers 313 indexed card records across 25 sets and the 2021 release year. The displayed estimate range is $0.02–$8,100. It reflects records available in TCG Value Scanner, not a complete manufacturer checklist.
Values are directional estimates rather than guaranteed sale prices. Read how estimates and scan ranges are produced.

Three kinds of anniversary card
- McDonald's 25th Anniversary. From February 9, 2021, Happy Meals in the United States came with four-card packs. The set has 25 Pokémon — all 24 first partners from Bulbasaur to Sobble, plus Pikachu — each printed twice, once with a McDonald's holo pattern and once without. Holo and non-holo copies share artwork and are valued separately.
- Japanese 25th Anniversary Collection. Released on October 21, 2021, it opens with Pikachu 001/028, illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita. It is the 2021 card scanned most in the app by a wide margin.
- Celebrations (from October 8, 2021). The main set is followed by the Classic Collection, 25 close remakes of famous older cards that keep their original numbers. The 25th anniversary logo next to the artwork is what separates a Classic Collection Charizard 4/102 from the 1999 original; the Charizard guide walks through every version of that picture.
The main English sets
- Shining Fates (February 19) added a Shiny Vault numbered with an SV prefix; its Charizard is SV107.
- Battle Styles (March 19) introduced Single Strike and Rapid Strike Pokémon.
- Chilling Reign (June 18).
- Evolving Skies (August 27). Its alternate-art Umbreon VMAX, 215/203, is a secret rare and one of the most valuable 2021 cards in this guide. The set also has an ordinary Umbreon VMAX and a rainbow one, so the number matters.
- Fusion Strike (November 12) closed the year.
Japan-only promos at the top
Several of the highest 2021 values here belong to Japanese promos numbered with an S-P suffix: Flareon VMAX 186/S-P, Vaporeon VMAX 187/S-P and Jolteon VMAX 188/S-P. They were handed out in Japan through a 2021 campaign rather than sold in packs, so an S-P card does not belong to any booster set. Japanese sets such as Eevee Heroes and VMAX Climax are here as well, and each Japanese card is valued apart from its English equivalent.
